Shit is getting hard. This whole situation with the world is really something right now and just like everyone else, I am not sure how to deal with it. But, I am going to share some of the things I am trying.
- Journaling!! Honestly, when I get in the habit of doing absolutely nothing, even writing words on a piece of paper seems like a lot for me. But, when I do force myself to do it, I feel really good. A journal is cool because it listens to everything you say and doesn’t respond or judge you. You can say literally anything to your journal with no consequences, its pretty cool.
- Music! If I feel my vibrations are off, I will try to recenter my energy. To do this, I listen to music that helps me raise my internal vibes. I made a new playlist on Spotify called “Vibrations” that you may find helpful. I really believe that when I have thoughts of wanting to kill someone, changing the energy around me can stop those thought patterns.
I have also been having a very common problem with myself recently where I get extremely angry at my friends and family for complaining about the hard experiences I am also having. It’s frustrating to hear someone talk about how mad they are they can’t work, leave their house, or see their friends/significant other, because I feel the exact same way. Here are a few phrases that are easy to give as responses when someone is complaining. I am stealing these quotes from @the.holistic.psychologist on Instagram
- How can I support you right now?
- What does it feel like for you?
- Would you like me to talk with you, or just listen?
- Is there anything else you would like to share?
Saying simple things like this, or just explaining that you are frustrated and would like to talk again later work best for me. If I don’t have a plan of how to be nice, I’ll often explode. That’s not good for anyone.
Other things I have mainly been doing right now is cooking and working out. I have no regiment, and just do whatever I feel like on any given day. I will be posting about my workouts and the food I eat on my website as well.
